We all had to work hard to get the whole house done with the budget for two thirds of it, but the result was really worth it. Aside from re-building the top floor and re-fitting out the 2 middle floors, the main work was to open-out the Lower Ground floor completely and finish it off with an extraordinary 2 storey structural glass extension linking the dining room, upstairs living room and garden together. The oak and polished concrete lead the eye towards the garden, where the heated white concrete bench passes through the glass to the outside
