Brixton Kiosk

The Kiosk is anticipated to be one of many, to funded by its commercial function to great benefit to the local community. It would be locally made of sustainably sourced English Oak and recycled materials, and would be a carbon negative construction, with a simple and inviting design.

During the hours of activity, the cube opens, providing coffee, shelter, information and a small social hub, as well a legal ticket exchange service for the Brixton Academy.

When shut the backlit display panels provide valuable information about Brixton Centre, a ‘you are here’ map, a ‘what’s on’ board and flyers for local businesses, as well as a welcome improvement to the streetscape.

Local companies win the pitch in exchange for training-up local young people off-site at their premises to staff the kiosk.
